A Spanish-Inspired garden wedding—complete with rustic tiles and bright, saturated florals—has us wishing our thumbs were so much greener.
Married at the über-charming Rancho Valencia Resort in Rancho Santa Fe, Liz and Allen knew they wanted a wedding that felt worlds apart without ever having to leave California. Liz enlisted the help of one of our all-time favorite event gurus, Francine Ribeau of Francine Ribeau Events to bring all of her oh-so Spanish dreams to life. The couple did away with the traditional arch and, instead, opted for a colorful half-moon Spanish garden full of stark-green vegetation and pops of pink, coral and, the couple’s favorite color, orange. Meandering Spanish tiles defined the aisle that Liz walked down and the guests signed a charming tile display instead of a traditional guestbook. We love that everything about this day—from bottled lemon olive-oil escort cards to Liz’s romantic ruffled gown—screamed Spanish charm. Guests dined family-style amongst rustic lanterns and some of our all-time favorite floral arrangements. Our favorite dreamy detail, by far and away, though? The couple’s 8-month-old daughter who donned an orange sundress and stole the show. So kick back, throw some firewood in the chiminea and get ready for old-world Spanish charm like you’ve never seen it before.
