I’m getting too many email notifications, and it’s overwhelming my email inbox. How can I fix this?

Our email notifications were created to help you stay in the loop on what’s happening on your account, across all of your events, but if you’re finding that they aren’t helpful, let’s make some changes to your notification preferences.

There are two options that might help:

Change your notifications, so that you get them once a day, for all of your events, all together (one daily email.)

  1. Click on USER SETTINGS from the drop down menu under your name towards the top right of your account.
  2. Select the USER PREFERENCES tab towards the top, and scroll down towards the bottom, where you’ll see the option to change your email notifications to arrive in your inbox once a day.
  3. Specify the time you’d like to receive this email.

This will affect all emailed notifications moving forward, except comment notifications.  Those will continue to come to your email inbox individually, so you have the opportunity to respond directly via email without logging in.

Turn off the email notifications that you don’t need or want to hear about:

  1. Click on USER SETTINGS from the drop down menu under your name towards the top right of your account.
  2. Select the USER PREFERENCES tab towards the top and uncheck any email notifications that you want to turn off. We suggest that you always keep email notifications on any comments on (unless you aren’t actively working with a client) so that you can easily respond via email without logging in.

Please note, adjusting you notification settings from your user settings sets the default for your account and will only affect notifications for new events moving forward. We do this to retain any custom settings you may have made for each existing event, so you’ll still need to visit each event and edit notifications accordingly.  Click here to learn more about editing event-based notifications for each of your events.

As notifications are user-based, notification preference updates that you make will affect your user account only.
